Customer Service Consultant 

Michigan Local Perks (Mi Local Perks) is an innovative customer service consulting firm specializing in customer retention, attracting new shoppers and lowering marketing costs.  Through our systematic approach to rewarding shopper loyalty, known as the Mi Rewards program,  our services cater to both business owners and consumers.  We offer a dynamic, independent environment that encourages personal and professional growth, positive energy and creativity. 

As a member of both the Downriver and Detroit Business Association and the Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber of Commerce, Mi Local Perks is a respected local Michigan based company serving all cities within the Great Lakes State.  We are currently seeking self motivated individuals to join our customer service consulting team. 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for educating business customers on the benefits of becoming a business member, how to utilize our self-service tools and how to make the most of the marketing tools we offer.  The successful Customer Service Consultant will have an outgoing personality, strong customer focus, superior organizational skills and a professional demeanor.  He or she must be able to work productively with little supervision and be able to set his or her own flexible hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contact and visit local Michigan businesses.
• Represent Michigan Local Perks in a professional manner.
• Educate business customers on annual business memberships, advertising options and the Mi Rewards Program.
• Maintain open communication and customer service throughout the life of the account.
• Meet recommended monthly sales goal for sales bonuses.
• Refer shoppers to join our FREE Mi Rewards Program.
  

Required Skills:

• Ability to set and work flexible hours.
• Be willing to work full or part time.
• Desire to work independently.
• Be self-motivated, detailed oriented and results driven.
• 1-2 years of sales, marketing, customer service or event promotion is a plus, but not required.
• Be passionate, committed, willing to learn and willing to succeed.

Summer Writing Interns

Do you enjoy writing?  Are you trying to break into the field of freelance writing or journalism?  Are you taking courses in writing or journalism?  Are you looking for the opportunity to be taken seriously as a writer?

Become a published writer with Mi Local Perks!

Currently, we are looking for summer interns who would be interested in submitting at least 3-4 articles per week and/or post topics and/or comments on our message boards and blogs at least 5 posts per week.

Each article should be between 250-500 words in length and can be on a variety of topics.  We are looking for local stories, editorial pieces on Michigan news, interesting commentaries on sports, entertainment, fashion, etc.

Each message board post should be at least 50 or more words and should either add substance to a current topic already available, or should offer a new, interesting topic to start conversations.  Each writer is able to also post comments under blog posts from other writers.

Writers are encouraged to invite others to visit MiLocalPerks.com to read their work and comment on it.  The writer who receives the most comments for his or her work each week will be paid a small salary.
